The current front porch deck that services the main door for the house is old and not up to code. It is currently framed using 2x4 boarding and ledger, with support posts resting on grade. I will be replacing existing framing with 2x6 joists and concrete footings for the front porch and installing new deck boards and fascia mounted hand rails. The deck will no longer be attached to the house and will instead be floating. No part of the porch/deck will be 30 inches above grade
