Daily Water Use Limits on New Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional Development
DevelopmentEnvironment
This petition proposes amending City Code so that a daily water use limit of 200,000 gallons applies to all non-residential land uses, with some exceptions, expanding the current limit that covers commercial and industrial uses. The proposal is citywide and would move through the planning review process.
Official description: This request clarifies which daily limit of water use applies to categories of land uses with some exceptions. Currently, City Code limits the daily water use for commercial and industrial land uses to 200,000 gallons per day. This code amendment expands that to include all non-residential land uses, with some exceptions.
