Safe, Open, and Clean Park Restrooms Program (New Restroom)
ParksPublic SafetyBudget
Proposed for the FY27 Capital Improvement Program. Citywide. $568,000 requested; $568,000 recommended by the resident advisory board; $568,000 in the Mayor's budget.
Official description: This project will fund the strategic installation of one new restroom in Salt Lake City. Currently, many restrooms in the Public Lands' inventory are unsafe, closed, or unusable when they are intended to be open due to poor design and vandalism. New restrooms will improve safety, maintenance, and may be open for more of the year. All new restrooms will comply with ADA and increase accessibility.
