This ADU unit immediately above our 3-car garage was built in 2013 by the previous homeowner. We purchased the home in 2018. We have just been notified that the prior homeowner never applied for a permit. We are so sorry. We did not know this. In speaking with the City, we were told to submit for a new permit. I’m going to enclose a bunch of pictures and video since it is already built. I do not have plans for the ADU unit because it was already built when we purchased the home. If you need us to recreate those, I will hire an architect to do so. Thank you for understanding. We simply want to be in compliance with the City; thus my interest in applying for a permit.
